At GLP Training, we know that learning doesn’t just build skills, it builds connections.
That’s why we’re proud to celebrate Learning at Work Week 2025 and this year’s theme: Get Connected. To mark the occasion, we asked our team a powerful question:
“Why is learning at work important?”
The answers were inspiring, and varied, from building confidence and staying relevant, to progressing careers and feeling more valued at work. What became clear is that learning means something different to everyone, but its impact is always powerful.
Why Learning at Work Is So Important
At GLP Training, we see first-hand how continuous learning can transform people and workplaces. Whether through apprenticeships, Skills Bootcamps, HTQs or commercial courses, learning at work helps:
Boost confidence and motivation
Build practical, career-ready skills
Support employee growth and retention
Encourage curiosity and innovation
Create a culture where people feel valued and invested in
And while this year’s theme is Get Connected, we know that learning naturally brings people together, through shared experiences, teamwork, and the drive to grow.
Our Commitment to Learning
We’re proud to work with organisations across the country to deliver training that fits around real working lives. Whether it’s helping someone take the next step in their career or giving teams the skills to lead change, we’re passionate about making learning at work meaningful, practical, and personal.
Take a moment this week to ask yourself:
What have I learned recently at work?
How has it helped me grow?
What could I learn next?
Share your thoughts with us and let’s keep the conversation going, because when we learn, we grow. And when we grow together, we stay connected.
We see every day how learning at work strengthens teams, empowers individuals, and creates lasting impact across organisations. So, if you’re looking to bring more learning opportunities into your organisation, we’d love to help.
