The Advanced Retrofit Green Skills Bootcamp is an intensive 12-week Level 3 course designed for those looking to deepen their expertise in the field of sustainable retrofitting. The curriculum is built on a foundation of advanced techniques and expands into the intricate details of installation and sustainability impact. Participants will complete the course with a robust understanding of advanced retrofit principles, prepared to lead in the industry.

Advanced Retrofit Techniques & Applications: Explore cutting-edge retrofitting methods, focusing on advanced applications. This module will delve into the nuances of retrofitting and how to maximise energy efficiency and building performance.

Retrofit Installation: Get hands-on experience with the installation process for retrofit systems. Learn about the tools, technologies, and practices that lead to successful retrofit implementation.

Communication Skills: Develop your ability to manage retrofit projects through advanced communication techniques. Learn how to effectively consult with stakeholders, manage teams, and facilitate collaboration in complex retrofit projects.

Health & Safety: This section expands on Level 2 health and safety practices to encompass the management of health and safety in retrofitting. Understand the regulations at a deeper level and how to apply them to protect everyone on the job.

Climate Change and Sustainability Impact: Analyse the role of retrofitting within the broader context of climate change and sustainability. Assess the environmental impact of retrofit projects and learn how to create more sustainable practices.

City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate for Retrofit Advisors: This optional exam will assess your understanding of the course content, awarding a Level 3 Certificate for Retrofit Advisors upon successful completion.

This Bootcamp is suited for those who have foundational knowledge in retrofitting and are looking to advance their skills to take on larger projects, manage teams, and contribute significantly through sustainable building practices. Whether you're aiming to upgrade your qualifications or seeking to become a leading retrofit advisor, this course will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed.

Skills Bootcamps have different funding methods dependent on the employment status of the individual undertaking the course. The three methods below showcase the core funding routes of any Skills Bootcamp.

100% Government Funded for unemployed or self-employed individuals
90% Government Funded, 10% Employer Funded – Individual is employed by an SME (1 – 249 employees)
70% Government Funded, 30% Employer Funded – Individual is employed by a large employer (250+ employees)

This course will be conducted using a blended delivery model consisting of online live and self-paced e-learning materials, complimented by face-to-face sessions within one of our training centres in Worcester.

The training centre will either be GLP House, (security house address) or The Building Block, Shap Drive, Warndon, WR4 9NX.

The Level 3 Advanced Retrofit Green Skills Bootcamp slots into our Leadership & Sustainability pathway, as well as our Construction pathway.
