The Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma Skills Bootcamp is a dynamic 12-week, Level 3 course focused on equipping learners with the methodologies and tools necessary for excellence in manufacturing processes. This programme is designed to help participants master the art of improving efficiency, ensuring product quality, and eliminating waste in manufacturing operations. Graduates of this Bootcamp will be well-versed in the principles of Lean and Six Sigma, ready to implement these practices effectively in their workplace.

Improvement Methodologies: An introduction to various improvement methodologies that can transform manufacturing processes, focusing on Lean and Six Sigma principles.

Statistical Process Control (SPC) Basics: Understand the fundamentals of SPC, a method of quality control which employs statistical methods to monitor and control a process.

SPC Tools & Techniques: Delve deeper into the specific tools and techniques used in SPC, learning how to apply them to identify and correct deviations from process quality.

Lean Management & Cell Theory: Learn about Lean management principles and cell theory to improve workflow, production efficiency, and value creation within manufacturing.

Risk Management: Study the strategies for identifying, analysing, and mitigating risks in the manufacturing process to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.

Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve & Control (DMAIC): Gain expertise in the DMAIC framework used in Six Sigma for improving existing process problems with unknown causes.

This course is particularly beneficial for professionals in the manufacturing sector, including process engineers, quality assurance personnel, and operations managers. 100% Government Funded for unemployed or self-employed individuals
90% Government Funded, 10% Employer Funded – Individual is employed by an SME (1 – 249 employees)
70% Government Funded, 30% Employer Funded – Individual is employed by a large employer (250+ employees)

This course will be conducted using a blended delivery model consisting of online live and self-paced e-learning materials, complimented by face-to-face sessions within one of our training centres in Worcester.

The training centre will either be GLP House, (security house address) or The Building Block, Shap Drive, Warndon, WR4 9NX.

The Level 3 Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Skills Bootcamp slots into our Professional Specialisms pathway. This pathway offers progression routes into further education via Apprenticeships or Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs).
