CITB Funding
Maximise your training impact with CITB grants.

What Is CITB Funding?
CITB funding supports construction employers in developing skilled, resilient workforces. The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) offers financial assistance through the Skills and Training Fund, enabling registered employers to invest in high-quality training. Whether it’s apprenticeships, technical skills, or leadership development, grants are tailored to business size and needs. From construction-specific qualifications to leadership and management training, the grants enable businesses to grow, improve efficiency, and remain resilient in a competitive sector.

- Be CITB-registered and up to date with Levy Returns
- Have completed and signed off any previous CITB-funded projects
- Employ staff directly (employee numbers determine funding thresholds)
Employers with up to 99 employees can apply for up to £10,000:
- CIS-only (no PAYE): Up to £2,500
- 1–49 employees: Up to £5,000
- 50–74 employees: Up to £7,500
- 75–99 employees: Up to £10,000
Applications are allowed twice per year, but only one live project at a time.

Employers with 100 to 250 employees can access up to £25,000 in funding:
- 100–149 employees: Up to £15,000
- 150–199 employees: Up to £20,000
- 200–250 employees: Up to £25,000
Same rules apply; up to two applications per year, with one live project permitted at any time.
In addition to funding, CITB grants are available to all registered employers, regardless of levy contributions. These grants support ongoing training, helping employees gain essential skills that keep the industry safe, compliant, and future-ready.
