World of Learning Summit 2026

GLP Training sales team stood in front of their exhibition stand

A Busy Two Days at the NEC Birmingham

Last week, the GLP Training team headed to the NEC Birmingham for the World of Learning Summit 2026!

The event brings together businesses and professionals from across the learning and development industry to share ideas, explore new approaches to training and discover the latest developments in the sector.

There was plenty happening, from the busy exhibition stands to a packed conference programme. For our team, it was a chance to meet visitors and make new connections. We enjoyed sharing what GLP Training has to offer.

There were some interesting conversations throughout the event, centred on our training and apprenticeships, with visitors keen to find out more about our courses and what they involve. Our sales team chatted with visitors about GLP Training and how we support businesses with their training needs. It was good to hear what different businesses are looking for in terms of future training and discuss the options available to them. These conversations gave us a better insight into the needs of potential clients and the training opportunities they may be looking for going forward. It was great to meet others across the industry and helped us get our name out there further.

Getting Involved with Stop the Clock

Our Stop the Clock challenge proved popular! Plenty of visitors gave it a go across the two days, joining in the friendly competition. There were some great scores and it was great to see so many people involved.

Get close to the target time and there was a chance to win one of our very own GLP-branded Tony’s chocolate bars. Anyone who stopped the clock exactly on two seconds was entered into a draw to win a £100 Amazon voucher!

It was a fun way to bring people over to our stand and get visitors involved while giving them the chance to find out more about GLP Training. We enjoyed seeing everyone have a go and seeing who could get closest to the target!

Exploring the Latest Developments in Learning

Artificial intelligence (AI) was the focus of the conferences running alongside the exhibitions over the two days. Sessions explored its role in the workplace and in learning and development.

AI continues to influence how businesses operate, so it was great to see it feature across the event. Beyond that, the summit offered a look at the different approaches to training and development being taken by businesses and organisations across the industry.

It was interesting to hear different perspectives on how AI could be used in the workplace and what this might mean for businesses in the future. Events like the World of Learning Summit give professionals the chance to learn about these developments and consider how they could affect their own organisations.

There’s value in taking time to hear what others in the sector are talking about. Events like this give us that opportunity, as well as a chance to meet other professionals and see how the industry is evolving.

Looking Back on the Event

We came away from the World of Learning Summit pleased to have been part of it. Conversations about our services gave us the chance to show what GLP Training does, while Stop the Clock added some friendly competition. Meeting new people was a highlight of the two days.

Thank you to everyone who visited our stand, spoke to the team or took part in our challenge. We enjoyed meeting you all and look forward to building on the connections made at the event.
