This includes
- Monthly 1-to-1 meetings (approx. 2 hours) with a GLP Trainer, either face-to-face or virtually
- Online learning modules and group sessions
- Building an electronic portfolio of work-based evidence
- Maths and English Functional Skills (if necessary). Please click here to learn more.
- Around 6 hours per week dedicated to apprenticeship activities
- Final assessment by an external examiner, comprising a resourcing project assignment and a professional discussion to complete the qualification
Assessment
To achieve the qualification — graded as Pass, Distinction, or Fail — apprentices are assessed continuously throughout their programme and formally at the end through an assessment.
The Apprenticeship Assessment period begins only once the employer confirms the apprentice is consistently working at or above the level set out in the occupational standard.
Before entering the assessment stage, the following gateway requirements must be completed:
- Achievement of Functional Skills qualifications (if applicable)
The Apprenticeship Assessment, typically lasting up to three months and delivered by Academy 4 Project Management, consists of two key components:
- Presentation with Q&A
Apprentices will deliver a presentation followed by a structured Q&A with an interview panel. This is an opportunity to demonstrate the knowledge and skills gained during the programme. - Professional Discussion (underpinned by a portfolio of evidence)
Apprentices will participate in a professional discussion, using their portfolio to illustrate their competencies and development across the apprenticeship.
The combined results of these two assessment methods determine the final grade.
