Launch of Our Higher Technical Qualifications’s

Launch of Our Higher Technical Qualifications's
We are thrilled to announce that the delivery of our Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs) have been confirmed and will commence in September 2024! GLP Training is excited to welcome our first cohort of learners into this dynamic programme. This newly developed qualification bridges the gap between apprenticeships and university, providing a powerful alternative for those who seek a different path. Whether you're not eligible for apprenticeships or prefer not to pursue a university degree, HTQs offer a compelling solution.
Benefits
  • Flexible Learning: Our courses are designed to accommodate your current commitments, allowing you to balance work, life, and study effectively.
  • Specialised Skills: Gain focused technical skills that are highly sought after in various industries.
  • Career Advancement: Enhance your career prospects by acquiring qualifications that open doors to new opportunities.
  • Practical Experience: Benefit from hands-on training that prepares you for real-world applications in your chosen field.
Entry Requirements

All of our HTQ courses have similar entry requirements which include the following:

General Entry Requirements:

  • GCSEs: Applicants must have at least 4 GCSEs at grade C (4) or above, including English and Maths, or equivalent Level 2 qualifications.
  • Level 3 Qualifications: We accept 48 UCAS Tariff points from an appropriate Level 3 vocational program, such as a BTEC National Diploma, a Level 3 Extended Diploma, GCE AS/A Level, or a 6 unit Vocational A Level.
  • Access to Higher Education Diploma: A success in an Access to Higher Education Diploma is considered a valid entry route, reflecting your ability to handle the demands of our HTQs.
  • Recognised Prior Learning: If you have formally assessed outcomes acquired through recognised prior learning or experience, we welcome your application. This acknowledges the value of diverse learning experiences and competencies.

English Language Requirements:

  • For applicants where English is not the first language, an IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent qualification is normally required to ensure that you can thrive in our English-speaking academic environment.

Consideration without Standard Qualifications:

  • Applicants lacking the specific qualifications mentioned but demonstrate the ability to study at the required level are encouraged to apply. We consider each application holistically, acknowledging the potential beyond formal academic achievements.

Funding
  • We offer a variety of funding options to help you manage the cost of your Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs).

Self-Funding Over Instalments: For those who choose to self-fund, we offer the flexibility to pay tuition fees in instalments. This option allows you to spread the cost of your course over the duration of your study, making it more manageable to balance your finances without compromising on your education.

Employer Funding: If you’re currently employed and seeking to enhance your skills through one of our HTQs, your employer may be willing to fund your studies. Employer funding is a great way to develop professional skills that will benefit your current role or prepare you for advancement within your company. We can provide assistance in presenting a case to your employer about the benefits of funding your course.

Student Finance: You may be eligible for financial support through student finance options available in your region. This can include loans or grants that cover tuition fees and possibly living costs, depending on your circumstances. We recommend checking the eligibility criteria and application process for student finance in your area to take advantage of any support for which you may qualify.

The launch of our Higher Technical Qualifications is a huge step forward for GLP Training, as we begin to cater for more educational needs. Check out our Higher Technical Qualifications page for more information and to apply for your chosen course.
