Account Manager

Overall Purpose:

  • Accountable to the Head of Business Development, the Account Manager is responsible for providing a comprehensive, confidential and professional service to support the growth and sustainability of the business

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Manage new and existing Levy Client relationships and accounts
  • Support the Head of Business Development increase new business

Help generate new business through existing apprenticeship levy paying clients

  • Responsible for dealing with queries and questions from levy paying clients
  • Meet regularly with existing levy paying clients to discuss service and learning progress
  • On call to levy paying clients
  • On occasion meet with potential new clients to advice on GLP Training’s Apprenticeship Levy Solution
  • Support the implementation and launch process of a new levy client
  • On occasion deliver presentations and supporting documentation to new potential clients
  • Demonstrate an understand of the Apprenticeship Levy to support employers
  • On occasion attend industry functions, association events and conferences and provide feedback and information on the market and changes
  • Help identify new opportunities for campaigns and services that will lead to business development and growth
  • Take responsibility for behaving in a manner that supports GLP Training’s culture and values
  • Support the development of the Business Development Strategy for GLP Training
  • On occasion conduct market research for current demands within the training industry
  • Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs
  • Responsible for MI and data reports on levy paying clients

Performance Criteria:

  • Help build and maintain relationships with levy paying clients
  • Ensure KPI’s are reported on a weekly basis
  • Reports daily to Head of Business Development to allow accurate feedback
  • Support in variety of areas to meet deadlines throughout the business.
  • Monthly target planning
  • To support other departments as requested to achieve business objective

  • Keep areas of work clean and tidy
  • Ensure that any equipment supplied for the purpose of your work is maintained and any defects are reported
